Affordable, but needs improvement

What this book offers in substance, it lacks in organization and timely updates. The book errs on verbosity couples with a poor index such that using the book is a bit frustrating. Add to the frustration is that this new addition comes nearly 3 years after the last update (2009), which raises the concern of timely updates in general. On the plus side, if you finally find the topic you are looking for, it provides a good overview. And even though it is among the more affordable books dealing this subject, I can't justify buying it again. I'd rather pay a little more for a better organized treatise that has a better record of providing timely updates.
