I serve a rural county, and find myself needing to advise civil deputies on levy, exceution and eviction. Mr. Steisniek has a good understanding of the subject, explains it well and in a manner understandable by both lawyers and law enforcement.

John Steinsiek always hits a home run. He not only tells you step by step how to handle all civil papers but includes reference material that makes it easy to reach the right conclusion. John's classes are very educational and informative and also, they teach you the practical aspect of executing documents. Our agency attends John's classes, we use his CD for preparing custom notices, letters, returns, etc.
The best part of John's book it that you can call him when you run into something that you are not sure of and he'll answer the question and cite the correct statue references.

I have purchased every book that Chief Steinsiek has written about Civil Process. This new one is the very best. It has referals throughout that not only give you the answers to your questions but also gives you the laws that cover that certain area. There are lots of TIPS in the book and it is very user friendly. I Recommend this book for all officers that are serving any type of Civil Process. I thinks its Great!!!,

John Steinsiek is the state's leading authority to law enforcement on the subject of civil process. His combined experience along with multiple hours of course and case study make Steinsiek a popular and in-demand instructor for both constable and sheriff's office entities. This seventh edition of Steinsiek's book, "CIVIL PROCESS FOR TEXAS," provides officers with a handy reference guide to most procedures of civil law as they pertain to officers' officlal acts. Whether new to law enforcement and/or civil process, or a seasoned officer, this book provides an easy-to-navigate look at civil law without the need for numerous reference volumes. John has "mastered the art" of combining case law and civil procedure into one manageable guide, which is handy whether in the office or out in the field.
